This is very true, Military stickers too

Friend used to have those Apple stickers on his vehicle. The ones you’d get with an iPod. An invitation to break a window to look for tech.

Once at a meeting several of the guys cars outside got windows smashed and broken into. The only guy whose window wasn't smashed had left his car unlocked for this very reason. He just takes all his valuables out of his car and lets the thugs look through his vehicle

Have seen this work many times. Possibly with my own car.

Put some of these decals all over the windows and doors and they'll leave it alone.

That sucks, we’ve got a family property about ten blocks down river right off Magazine.

Gets used about 30 nights a year but still it sucks to know the neighborhood sucks.

We’ve got two off street parking spots and security cameras.

No problems in the decade we’ve had it. (Other than a $20k bill from the S&WB that was eventually written off)

Did anyone in the neighborhood have cameras? We are in the area and have 5 cameras on the house.

We’ve had all our cars get broken into, some twice. Ever since we’ve left doors unlocked and center consoles open. Hasn’t happened since.

Is this your license plate holder? If so, consider a change.

I put a sign in my window:

NO GUN IN CAR.

THE GUN IS IN THE WINDOW ABOVE YOU.

AND IT’S POINTED AT YOU

Never had a problem.

Fairly certain this only happens in NOLA.

I live in, objectively, one of the three nicest areas in Houston. Every car parked on our street got broken into last month. It’s a cost of living in almost every city.

Used to have a soft top Jeep Wrangler. I went to $99 pull out stereo and left my doors unlocked. 2 stereos a year beat replacing my sliced door tops.

Houston has massive car burglary issues. I don't know if it's the cost of living in almost any city though. My sister has lived a half mile from downtown Austin for a decade and her vehicle has never been broken into.

She’s lucky. Just Google Austin car break ins. It’s getting much worse there too. I think the car would be safer 1/2 mile from downtown Houston than the 5 miles away where I live. I don’t even lock my car on the occasional trip to The Galleria. The parking garages there are the Wild West. I picked up an IPad there around Christmas and the guy at the Apple Store implied it would be safe to walk back to my car with it in an Apple Store bag.

pull the shithead out of the vehicle and beat the frick out of him.

Take out a blade as he is recovering and steal his nuttsack, then put it in a jar to keep on the mantle. It'll always give you a story when entertaining guests.
