I don't want to go on a full rant on a Friday afternoon either, so I'll keep it short and sweet. The wife and I go to pretty much every Saints game and were at the natty in January. In just a few months, to go from that euphoria to questioning if I ever really want to set foot in that building again is surreal, weird, and severely pisses me off. Still trying to enjoy baseball...

MLB is really the only professional product that I'll still consume despite how annoyed I get at the outside noise.

NFL I was never a huge fan, got into it last year bigly for like the first time in my life, (partially due to finding a book and gambling) and I can easily go this fall without consuming.

NBA never watched could not care less about that product.

Anyways, I was anticipating maybe a boycott from the Astros today due to them not playing the last couple of days but it appears that they are going to play since a lineup was released. Have a dinner with the wife at 7:30 so this will be the first game this year that I won't be following Should have scheduled this for next weekend because I really want to watch these games against the A's but I'll live.

Today is the rescheduled Jackie Robinson Day so we have a SJW shield up to protect today's games.

I wonder if they'll actually play or if there'll be some fricking protest

Yep forgot to mention I've watched way more golf than normal on the weekends too

Perfect time to get into it too with all the great players between the ages 22-25. Will probably watch a bunch this weekend since the course looks to be playing tougher.

Tell that to all of the innocent golf balls I've sent to their deaths.

Yes, actually looking forward to playing Saturday mornings in the fall since there will likely be no tailgating.

Get out there around 8:00-8:30 play 18 and back home in time for the second half of the 11:00AM CFB games.

According to the leftists at The Athletic, Houston is interested in Arizona’s starter Robbie Ray — along with several other clubs — and also inquired on Boston’s Matt Barnes.

Robbie Ray has been a gas can all year, but still kind of want.

Matt Barnes would be a nice get. I feel like he is a fastball high in the zone guy with a high spin breaking ball so that’s right up Strommy’s ally.

Sure it’s been mentioned but Dusty said Urquidy is about 10 days out, and JV isn’t where they’d like him to be, but he’s feeling good just a long way to go

Intriguing. He's been absolutely terrible this year. 7.84 ERA 31 walks in 31 innings. He's always been inconsistent and the results rarely matched his stuff. I wonder what Strom could do in a short time with him.

He's a free agent after the year and Arizona is sitting in last place at 13-19. So Arizona will have to weigh what sort of prospect offer they'd get for a month of a struggling pitcher vs holding onto him and offering him a Qualifying Offer and get a compensation pick if he leaves.

Played the game through my 20’s and into my mid 30’s. Average hack at my peak. Game fell off a cliff for some reason in my mid 30’s. Got so frustrated I quit the game. Haven’t picked up a club in more than 15 years.

Always wanted Robbie Ray especially since he is a huge K guy, but he's been bad this year. He is a free agent after this year too. Unless he's super super cheap IDK if I want him anymore.

Wonder if the plan could possibly be to use him out of the pen?

MLB source: The Astros players will come out on the field tonight wearing their number 42 jerseys honoring Jackie Robinson Day and then they will leave the field and not play Oakland tonight at Minute Maid Park.
