Well when you enslave people for generations, then when you free them use laws to jail them again for free labour, then you create bills that hurt their attempts to grow business, buy homes and develop families...

Yeah they will develop a victim mentality.

Ironically the biggest victims on this forum are old white boomers.

Never hear you guys complaining about crying victim all the time on here though.

All of that was extremely wrong

But I did none of that, and support none of that. And 99% of white people in this country did none of that, and support none of that

So, I have nothing to apologize for, and current "America" doesnt hate black people. Its time to move forward

Whites who didn’t own slaves still historically benefited from slavery though

This is false. For one you haven't but many people's forefathers did.

Secondly, 99% is a laughable percentage considering how many times we have someone in the virtual crowd do something crazy like wear a KKK hood during a WWE taping or something crazier like go to a Church and kill a bunch if black members.

The reality is what was done to the black community can't be fixed overnight. I'm not just talking about the financial, family or business/home damage.

I'm speaking of the mentality. It doesn't help as well when you have this mob of angry people who react in rage any time they bring it up.

This always cracks me up. Do you believe Black men and women are somehow incapable of getting an ID? Do you think so little of them as a group? It's the racism of low expectations in full display.

It has to be fixed from within. If black leaders would focus more on the problem of black on black crime and fatherless homes instead of the statistical anomaly that is unarmed black men being shot by police, they could make progress.

Kudos to you.

You didn't do it but you directly and indirectly benefited from it. Not to mention you enable the mindset then get angry they react the way they do.

As if any of you wouldn't do the same if the positions were reversed.

You do realize that it’s only been 155 yrs since Slavery and only 55 years since The Civil Rights Act was passed? You’re taking about about only 6-7 generations since Slavery was still a thing, and 2 generations since Segregation. The mentality of “move on” is small minded.

If you honestly think African Americans are afforded the same opportunities as White Americans than your ignorance keeps you blind to to acknowledge the real problems that still exist.

All that welfare money going into those communities.

It’s simple to be successful. Work harder than everyone else. Don’t do crime and if you do don’t fight the police.

WTF are you even talking about? One idiot during a WWE taping is irrelevant. What has been done to the black community? What mentality are you talking about? What mob are you referring to? You speak in generalities, be specific about what you think has been done and who is responsible.

The only way anything changes in this or any country is through legislation.

For one black people aren't all criminals and their community isn't the only one with an issue of criminality and family structure breakdown.

Secondly, criminality derives usually from financial position. As I stated earlier for generations they have been crippled financially by our own governments laws. Their famikt structure ruined by our own legislation which gave lengthy sentences to marijuana to fill the prisons these wealthy people invest in.
