Weird thread, but I agree with the OP. This is why CEH’s stellar performance from the Bama game onwards was such a shock to me. We were giving snaps to Fournette, who was not an SEC talent (not even at Vandy). And the year before CEH was kept on the bench by Brossette, who was serviceable, but not as good as LSU’s starting back usually is. Add to these that CEH really hadn’t even flashed much.
Going into the Bama game I thought we had the better team, mainly on the strength of the QB position. However, I thought we were at a big disadvantage at RB. Najee Harris is a tremendous RB, and I thought we were just serviceable. Then Clyde made play after play after play and was the MVP along with Burrow and Chase.
