Joey Ryan, nobody was surprised by that. He has denied it though, and in this culture I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

I’d generally agree

But Haku was a different breed. He’s bitten off a guy’s nose before

Harley Race was another tough old timer

Then you had Legitimate Olympic wrestlers such as Danny Hodge who could hurt people. He could still crush an apple with his hand at 70 years old.

There are dozens of stories about Haku being a psycho badass but the nose one and the one where he ripped out a guys teeth with his bare hands are at the top.

Wasn’t Haku one of the few Andre the Giant wouldn’t mess with?

The King would definitely give Haku a run for his money!

He looks soft and since wrestling isn’t that would be a no. Maybe the toughest softest fake entertainment wrestler for homos that like to watch large men in tights.

The guys who regularly worked in the Mid-South territory in the 1980s were a rare breed and tough-as-nails. They beat the tar out of each other seven days a week and twice on Sundays. Head-honcho "Cowboy" Bill Watts ruled that any of his wrestlers who engaged in bar fights be victorious or be fired. Wrestlers were constantly watching their backs in public, as back then, folks thought the heels were assholes in real life and loved to try them. Ted DiBiase, Jim Duggan, and Butch Reed were big, rough dudes with legitimate sports backgrounds. Steve "Dr. Death" Williams once suffered a laceration above his eye during a match, requiring 108 stitches. He finished that match and went back to work the next day. Williams once happened upon a car accident on the side of the road and ripped the automobile's door off to save an injured passenger. Say what you will about the UFC, but in my eyes, Brock Lesnar's got nothing on the guys from the Mid-South era.

Another veteran of the Mid-South area and a one-time New Orleans Saint who could whoop most anybody on the streets was Paul Orndorff.
