No, I really don’t.

Where is the study that proves putting player's heads in a plastic bubble is a safe practice?
That’s actually a fair point. But is the precedented standard that the burden of safety must always be studied and proven before any uniform changes are allowed? My guess is no.
My guess is also that this is being monitored and if enough players throughout the country complain, then they’ll lose the shields. Didn’t we have some super tech implemented last year that measures all kinds of stuff? Surely oxygen levels is one of the metrics they monitor, no? But more importantly, can’t we all just be honest and agree that nobody knows what the frick to do? That this is an unprecedented situation, but everybody is doing their absolute best to figure shite out on the fly? Without the threat of lawsuits? If they do nothing, one side wants to sue because they’re not doing enough? Try out a face shield for a few days, got another side wanting to sue because they’re doing the wrong thing? frick man, we’re all in this together, perhaps a little latitude and benefit of the doubt is warranted?

This isn't a minor 'uniform change'. This a major change that affects a player's ability to breathe in and out under extreme physical exertion.
It is a horrible idea that should be shitcanned immediately.
