I have an egg and I almost bought the Kamado Joe instead. the difference for me was the insane amount of extras that you can get with a BGE. The BGE fans are pretty helpful if you ever have any issues. The biggest downside for me is I like to shop at Shopper's Choice (BBQ Guys) and they don't carry BGE. I'm not far from Goodwood Hardware so I can always walk in and grab something if I need as opposed to having to buy it online. It is nice being able to buy locally for things which I've needed to do several times: pizza stone, air grate, table top legs, etc.
