When I was getting married, I delegated pretty much everything which seemed to fit well with everyone more into planning the lead up events. We had a couples shower the day of this game and rained all day. My dad set up a TV outside in an old barn and everyone would check out bits and pieces of game.

Late in the 8th/9th, I remember the party was winding down and about 15 of us gathered around in the barn as the Tigers took control of the game to close it out. Cresse with the big hit!

There were many LSU stars that day. Obviously, Cresse with the game winning RBI. And, Blair “Do You Believe!” Barbier rallied the team. But, the most unsung and, arguably, the biggest hero of the day was Ray Wright. If he doesn’t steal that three-run homer, we don’t catch them.
