4.1 blocks per 40 minutes at ok state as a freshman/sophomore. This is what Wade wants near the rim in his new defense. It's basially a poorer mans Cisse, he wont be the offensive threat Cisse could be, but still block some shots on defense.

From a pure shot blocking stand point it's hard to say he is a "poorer man's Cisse. Now, Cisse could be the best shot blocker in the nation next year. We don't know. But this guy is a known commodity. If you finish 1st and 4th in blocked shots in the Big 12 there there is NO DOUBT he can be a rim protector in the SEC. Hell, he could actually be a BETTER shot blocker than Cisse

I’ll take a poor man’s KBW. Really could’ve used that kind of player last season.

Agree with all of this. If Wade can pull this off, then I go back to feeling just as confident about this year's team as I did when I thought we were getting Cisse.

I never was counting on Cisse to be a major offensive threat. Just wanted him for his defense and rebounding, which it appears Anei can give you the same of and about the same offensive production that we likely would have seen out of Cisse. So that is a win/win. Plus we could get him for 2 years as opposed to 1, which gives Gray even more time to develop and for you to restock the roster with another big guy in next year's class.

My only curiosity or question is that I wonder why his minutes were reduced some in year 2 (20.3 avg) over year 1 (23.5), in which is blk numbers were almost a full block per game less (2.7 vs. 1.9) as well.

I know a lot of people dont know a ton about Cisse outside of the hype of us getting him, but he might be one of the best shot blockers to come out of high school in a while. That's certainly his specialty and one of the best I've seen. Depending how much he plays next season, he could be a 3+ block a game guy right out the gate with relative ease, even in a major or somewhat major conference.
