For years many of you have bitched about the secularization of our society. “Where is God in public events?” you asked. You howled with glee when Tebow prayed in the end zone as you held up your “John 3:16” placards.
Now the NFL wants to play a song ABOUT GOD, and you are losing your damn minds.
What in the actual frick?
The problem isn’t the lyrics, or even the song.
The problem is that is is racially specific and America is not the land of blacks. It’s the land of AMERICANS, ALL Americans, and so when you bring racial preference into a public event like football you drive a racial divide amongst people who don’t share in it. It’s not a song for all. It’s a song only for 13 percent of ALL of us.

You can’t sing
True to our God
And true to our Native land
because it’s too black?

I understand that it is being designated as the black national anthem, but the lyrics aren't race specific.

Why is the NFL focusing on one race or ethnicity at the exclusion of others?
What about the Latino American national anthem? The Chinese American national anthem ? The Native American national anthem? The Irish American national anthem? The Italian American national anthem? The Polish American National? The German American national anthem?
It sure sounds discriminatory to me!
