You knew it was coming. After all the hype of bringing it back and millions of dollars invested in the Dixie Beer brand, they decide to retire the name? I call bullshite on this. what’s next, Dixie Land Jazz?

So the name Dixie, just a nickname for the land south of the Mason-Dixon Line that predates America is offensive?

So they are going out of business. I say fine. You want to bow to PC culture? You don't get my money.

The name Dixie/Dixieland either originated from the Mason-DIXon line or from the currency printed in New Orleans a Dix (ten dollar note) called colloquially by English speakers, “dixies.”
Neither of these things are inherently racist and are just a geographical nickname for the Deep South.
Might as well ban the term Deep South

Anything, white and Southern will be gone soon. They will move against us next.

So your saying that Dixie wrecked?

So why not immediately? If it's really important then why sell another beer?

Dixie cups and Dixie brand plates.

I used to drink Dixie back when Red Hook made it post-Katrina.
I enjoyed Dixie and liked Redhook even more.
Too bad it's ending like this.

My employer is a $500m revenue company employing 1800 employees and celebrating our 100 anniversary this year is named...Dixe. Have not heard any talk as to changing our name...yet.
