To me, it's just another small event in a series of events. The democrats play the long game. They've been trying to cancel America for years.

Today's young people already don't understand what the country is truly about and how miraculous it was that it was founded in the first place. We need every opportunity to teach about the birth of America that we can get. I think OP is correct, we are being stripped of those opportunities.
