So you spend thousands of dollars on a fricking watch and it requires maintenance? Seems like for that kind of money it would be unbreakable.

Yes, and mine is 40 years old. My fathers is 60 years old. Both keep excellent time and get serviced every 4 to 6 years.

How often do you change the battery in yours?

I sent mine to Mark last time. He did a good job and was much faster than waiting on Rolex for weeks. Rolex is starting to be a pain on replacing parts on older watches, from what I have heard.

On my phone, never, and I don’t pay for the phone either. Keeps great time.
As for the fashion aspect, I quit caring about that when I was about 20.

I sent a Seamaster Pro Planet Ocean to Swatch Group USA back in the December, took about 8 weeks, and luckily I just beat the COVID. I guess that's why you are probably looking for local service? They did a nice job and it was remarkably reasonable - they even sent me back the old parts (I changed the dial from the Rhodium Arabics at 12,6,9 to the Orange ones). I know they stopped receiving watches for repair for a little while, not sure if they are back at it.

I like RSC Dallas, and would strongly consider sending your OP there. It'll cost more, but they will absolutely stand behind it, not to mention you get a Rolex Warranty Card which is nice if you don't have the original one.
