Are we witnessing the self destruction of the greatest Modern Nation on earth?

I remember when Trump was ridiculed in 2017 when he said “they will come for the founding fathers”.
The progressives now are destroying the foundation of this nation. If Biden wins, he will be a hologram. His female progressive VP will be the de facto president. They will destroy this nation from within paving the way for China to rise to the top.
I’m not sure if there is anything that can be done to save The republic if Trump lose.
Maybe a war with China will instill a New sense of Nationalism. I’m not sure

The most successful empires in all of history were nothing like our short-lived experiment. Greek, Roman, Persian, and Chinese democracies, republics, and dynasties had staying power, in part, because in the good years, they were focused on external conquering or fighting off external conquerors.

I am very much left of center, and I don’t like it. I am in favor of taking down some statues of confederate leaders that fought against the USA, but this massive destruction of all statues, burning businesses, and looting is very concerning. I am still voting for trump’s opponent, but I am not onboard with all this insanity.

The nation is not nearly as fractured and divided as the media tells us. Cable news and social media are both cancer to this nation and they elevate the loudest craziest 5% of everything and present it as the rule, not the exception.
