A car can be an investment, if you're very patient, when acquiring it.

My current vehicle, I paid cash. Ten months from now, I'll be able to sell it for what I paid.

I'm enamored with it, so, time will tell.

it's pretty rare.

I got my car 15 months ago, and if I sold it now, based on comps, I could get anywhere from $3k-6k or so more than what I paid for it, before taxes.
