Speaking of hypocrisy...

“I’m glad most of you all work in oil fields...” This implies the majority of people you are targeting with this post are hard working, tax paying citizens who are financially independent of the government. I doubt many people will see that as an insult. Although, it’s clear that you intended to insult their intelligence. I don’t really think that’s a very good approach if you’re looking to make a positive impact and have someone else see your point of view.

“Internet voting ... by refusing to modernize.” If I remember correctly, a large portion of the debate regarding Russian interference in the last election was based on false political advertisements and issues with censorship of other political adds (to harm Clinton and help Trump) by hacking various social media sites. This was something that was a concern of the Democratic Party. Therefore, the party has kind of contradicted their own view on this front as well. They cannot play both sides. If they’re going to say there’s potential for meddling and interference and dishonesty when it doesn’t go their way, they cannot also be looking forward to it when they think it may benefit them.

I’m not Democrat or Republican. Just a concerned citizen pointing out some of the irony in this post. If we want to have discussion and debate, we have to talk about the whole picture.

I am not advocating for or against internet voting. By definition it would be a modernization effort, though. And saying it's a dead issue based on tiktok and dumbass AOC? No way is it dead. I hope the world doesn't end in 2020 and I don't think universal, blanket statements cover the inventory of eventualities for coming years.

Nor am I. And I shouldn't have been such a dick.
