I don’t know how it works in Texas.
on my six acres in Hammond I have a ag exemption on sales tax for “agricultural supplies” because I have bees. All it took was some paperwork at the dept of agriculture and an annual renewal.

my neighbors have one because they have a horse

I’m not aware of any property tax break but again, I’m not in texas
