I think most people would agree that they don’t want college football to be political. Will LSU football be affected by their recent wokeness? They bring in a lot of cheddar that gets shared among all of the sports programs and the university.

I get that they want to be supportive of this so called movement, but it is a bit much. Almost like they are trying to make up for something.

I’m all for renaming Tiger Stadium to George Floyd Field! I mean, let’s do this if we are going to do it!

I wonder how much consultation they did/will do before taking further steps. I'm not entirely sure the various college administrations know that their consumers are *typically* more conservative and white than the normal population.

I'm not so sure about that. The covid shutdown has shown most of us how insignificant sports are.

At the same time, the general public has a short term memory so you may be right. Who knows anymore in this clown world?

“Welcome sports fans, you are looking live as Nick Saban leads the Alabama BLM Tide onto the field at Alton Sterling Stadium here in Baton Rouge. And now the crowd goes wild as the LSU Black Panthers also take the field. Both teams are undefeated and ranked just below Grambling and Southern University in the Ebony Magazine reparations-based poll.”

But they won't because if white boosters quit giving and white fans quit going to the games there won't be the money available for their royal lifestyles at LSU.

This is the blatant hypocrisy of all of this. If all white people, especially white males are evil, if the protesting people were sincere they would walk away from whatever these evil white people provide.

If they are sincere......

In front of virtually empty stadium due to social distancing.

I stopped donating to my degree program last week based on what’s happened recently. $1,000/year, but I’m one person, imagine how many others that want to send a message?

I tend to think there are some programs who could survive anything (Bama, LSU, AU etc etc) but if I were them I wouldn’t be surprised to see even more empty seats.

We will see. They have spoken. If you support football or any other sport at LSU now you are officially a POS. They hate you because you are white. Maybe if you get on one knee and lick their feet and pray for forgiveness for your white privilige they will tolerate you now.

The reason booster money matters is for recruiting and paying coaches. You can spend all you want on a workout facility, but it wouldn’t matter if you named it after David Duke.
