I have a question about this. So if they are getting 40 hours of bereavement time are there any restrictions? Are they required to stay in Portland, wash the feet of black people (if they can actually find any in Portland) and repair the damage that the few black people in the city caused?
I mean this is serious stuff here. This is a time for reflection and penance to black people. This is no time for fun and vacations.
I wonder what the city of Portland will do when the first city employee posts a picture on social media at Cannon Beach, Tillamook, Mt. Hood or Hood River in Oregon or up in Seattle, Mt. Rainier or the Olympic Peninsula in Washington. I can see the sky screaming now, they are supposed to be in reflection and sadness.
