As with anything, it depends on the deal, but a lot of players around the league consider Beal in the borderline elite company of players, just on a spectacularly shitty team.

Put him in a Ball/Beal/Ingram/Zion/? lineup and you've got some ridiculous firepower.

The Pelicans would need that firepower with how putrid the defense will be. We're bad enough on that end with Jrue. Imagine replacing his defense with the black hole on defense that is Beal.

I'm all for getting him, but i'm not trading Jrue for him, and i really don't want to trade Lonzo either, which is something i never thought i'd say, but i really like how Lonzo and Zion play together, although i would not be upset in the least bit if Lonzo had to be part of the deal to get Beal. I obviously am not trading Ingram and Zion.

That being said, i don't see a way to get him unless we win the lottery again.

A lineup with Jrue/Beal/Ingram/Zion is really good, 2 veterans in their prime and 2 rising stars. Stagger the minutes between Beal and Ingram so they can each have time to get in a groove scoring. Beal's defense hasn't been great lately, but i think that's more b/c his team sucks.
That lineup still lacks a prototypical 3/4 that can guard guys like Lebron/Durant/Kawhi/PG, even though i'll take Jrue guarding anyone anyday over most any 3/4 in the league.

and a reminder, the Twolves traded the 7th pick and Zach Lavine to get Jimmy Butler and the 16th pick, which was considered a steal by the TWolves at that time.
