Football was that escape. A competition where only skill mattered. Nothing else. The best of the best compete and we gather together to cheer them on. But now it’s perverted into some kind of propaganda outlet for the political elite.

You’re right, but I think that’s what made this fan base special. I celebrated and had conversations with ppl I’m not sure I would have crossed paths with if not for the Saints. Seemed like the last thing that would ever become a divisive topic, but it has.

How? I’m legitimately curious.
It starts every game, it’s talked about in every news outlet, it’s brought up by every commentator, it’s on every players social media presence, etc...
How can you watch a game or keep up with the team and block it out?
