They've done comparisons of the total death of the US month by month for every cause and compared it to years past. The number of deaths this year over the average suggests that the death toll due to COVID-19 is actually significantly higher than what has been counted.

That's what the left wants you to think....Your hypothesis does not take into account (intentionally) higher death rates for suicides, as well as other illnesses that are made more lethal due to those afraid to leave their home/travel to a hospital/etc. for treatment/diagnosis. Your statement is intentionally dishonest.
