If the NFL/NCAA and/or the individual schools are going to mandate 14 day quarantines for anyone who test positive for covid and those who have been "in contact" with him, then they may as well not even play. Presumably, if one player tests positive, then he will have been "in contact" with every other player on the team. Thus, necessitating a quarantine period for the entire team. That sounds stupid and excessive, I know. But there hasn't been a lot of reason and logic exercised throughout this entire episode.

Rest assured, the media and "social media warriors" will be screaming on a daily basis that sports should be suspended until there is a cure, or at least a vaccine. Neither of which is a certainty to EVER be developed.

Presumably if one team member tests positive , he will have had contact with all the rest of the team and they will be all quarantined ,this comes from a poster not a official source . He says social media warriors AND media will be screaming for shut down till a cure . Does he realize this is social media and he is putting words in other people mouths so he can have a argument ,evidently he likes to argue !

I mean presumably you just test everyone again right?

So let’s say an LSU player tests positive on Tuesday. He immediately goes into self quarantine. Why quarantine everyone he’s been in contact with 7 days?

Just give everyone the test again. If they test negative they’re fine. The 7 day quarantine made sense when you couldn’t test everyone exposed

Also if they test positive they’re fine as a college football player. But that’s a separate discussion

This, And I was the first one to scream that they were not going to cancel football....but now I think it is more likely than not that the season will be cancelled.

There will be too many Karens screaming from the top of the rooftops. The stupid political pressure will sink the season.

When they get to camp they are going to be "bubble boys." I would expect them to have somewhat restricted contact with people outside the program.
