you know all major phone makers are buying the latest version of gorilla glass from corning right? in the marketing slicks for new phones they even tout which version they're using.

corning has literally stated they sacrificed scratch-resistance in favor of stronger glass in the newest gorilla glass versions.

what you should be doing is looking at the specs of the ihpone in question vs android phone in question and seeing which version of glass each is using. thats the only way to compare.

saying a 4 year old iphone you've had for 'years' is better is not a valid comparison because it used a completely different glass.

its silly to blame google for this issue unless they went out on a limb and went with a completely different glass manufacturer than all the other major phone makers.
