Placing myself in his shoes I would be in legitimate fear for my life if two wanna be heroes approached me armed. I would act accordingly. There is no reason that the 2 individuals should have had their guns displayed.

If I knew I had been involved in illegal activity and 2 guys confronted me about it with guns, I’m admitting to myself that I’ve been caught and facing the punishment(which I doubt would have been getting blasted by a shotgun).
There’s no situation where I’m doing a b and e and then attacking the people who are angry at me over it.
