You can protect property with deadly force when you’re both on the property. Once that dude is fleeing and no longer a threat to you physically, you can’t use deadly force. Deadly force is only for combating deadly force. Chasing down criminals is for police.

Trying to deflect from the idiocy of the two morons just adds fuel to the fire.
There is no defending their actions, and even hinting at that is just stupid.
Go frick yourself, stop lecturing people on what they should do, that’s also just stupid

I suspect that once all the facts are known, the charges will be dropped.

None of this happened.

This would be a surprise to me. I could see a jury with the right demographic makeup feeling some sympathy for two good old boys trying to “keep their neighborhood safe” and acquitting them.

Dude was running down the street until a truck with two armed men cut him off and cornered him so he couldn’t keep running.

Here we go with the race shite again !

There’s going to be racial elements to this trial whether you like it or not. Do you think the McMichaels’ lawyer is going to try to get a bunch of African Americans on the jury? If not, why not?

So, if he was fleeing; why did he keep running towards the guys? I know you want to spin it; but in the court of law, facts matter.

There was a truck in front of and behind him...

I can’t see you making the same statement with the races reversed. And believe me I hate the race card more than anything. It’s dumb to argue about this until everything has concluded

Won't matter what the racial make up is. They'll empathize with neighbors protecting neighbors and their community from someone with a track record of crime. You cannot deflect from official record that has a history.

So, it wasn’t the father and son chasing him?

They were chasing him as well as another man in a second vehicle

If he was actively stealing in that neighborhood it is VERY relevant and ignoring it doesn't accomplish anything positive.
If he wasn't, and his "non-choir boy" actions were all in the past or unrelated, then a lot of other questions need to be answered and the answers aren't going to be good enough.

But no one knows that. That’s why we don’t have citizen posses taking care of suspected burglars.

Exactly what are they protecting their neighborhood from?
There was no theft.

It’s actually not relevant at all. He could have been running down the street carrying the Mona Lisa. It doesn’t matter. Citizens cannot use deadly force to protect property outside of their homes when the perp is fleeing and no longer a threat to them. If you escalate a conflict by chasing the dude down, you cannot then plead self-defense if you shoot him.
