I'm just going to throw a few obvious candidates out there:
jason david
brandon browner
devante harris

my post in the MSB thread nominated Brian Dixon as one of the worst players I've ever seen. Curious to hear what others think.

ETA: I know these players listed are from more recent times, but feel free to nominate anyone from older teams.

You are going to have to go back to the early years to find that guy. I would preface it with who is the worst player in the Mora-Payton eras.

I would go with Browner, based on what we thought we were getting, his attitude, and just how absolutely terrible he was.

I will forever hate him for that punt return where he ran into whoever was going to catch it and iirc we turned it over since it caused the guy to muff the punt.

I’ll never forget that Saints/Colts game where Peyton Manning personally destroyed Jason David’s career, reputation, and family name.

DeVante Harris, Johnny Patrick, and Browner were three of the worst NFL DBs I’ve ever seen. Browner was actually decent for Seattle but was just an all around disaster for us.

Danny Wuerffel: started 6 games for the Saints in 2 years. 126 completions on 258 attempts (48.8% completion rate) 1,404 yards with 9 TDs and 16 interceptions.

YIKES!

Heath Shuler was about as bad if not worse. Started 9 games in 1 year and had 106 completions on 203 attempts (52.2%) for 1,288 with 2 TDs and 14 interceptions.

God Bless this man!!!

Was coming in hot to say Toi Cook.

But then I read this:

And I realized he wasn't THAT bad.

Jason David just gave up ANOTHER touchdown.

Easily the worst DB to ever suit up for the Black and Gold....and probably the worst skill position player too

Saints sign Packers OT James "Tootie" Robbins (1993), he spent his entire time here riding the exercise bicycle on the sidelines until finally being released having never stepped onto the field for us in a single game, and then he went right back and resigned with GB
