A lot of it was on JaMarcus, but going to the Raiders was probably the worst place in the league he could go other than maybe the Lions or Browns. That organization used to suck the life out of players. Kerry Collins looked like he was done after he signed there, then went and had a solid stint with the Titans. Randy Moss was a shell himself in Oakland and then went to New England and dominated.

It's possible that if he went to a well run team with structure and accountability then maybe things wouldn't have gone down hill quite as fast. Not saying he would have succeeded but going to the right fit goes a long way. Even well prepared guys that go to a shite situation will struggle because not everyone is on the same page.
