Jamarcus had a powerful arm.
He was not a great football player. He had neither the work ethic, mental acuity nor discipline and devotion to the game to get there. Matt Flynn was a betterfootball player, with much less talent.
Ryan Perilloux probably had more overall talent and was a better overall football player, with many of the same weaknesses suffered by Jamarcus.
Which proves my point 100%. We knew what Jamarcus was and loved him for it but he's nowhere near a top pick.
This flop is on the raiders. Jamarcus would have been a good 2nd round selection

JR's draft stock was plummeting during the course of his last year here.
Teams were dropping everyone in coverage, and not rushing him, requiring him to be deadly accurate. This worked between the 25's, but couldn't get it done in the red zone.
Plenty of open space b/w JR beyond the LOS, but he refused to run.
We were playing Tennessee over there when he decided he would use his legs. Look it up. As soon as he showed the ability to run, it completely changed our offense, opened up passing lanes, etc.
Ironically, his legs are the reason he got drafted No. 1 overall.

You don’t know much about football do you. You keep blaming the raiders but have yet to respond to repeated posts about how HE himself screwed up. I wonder why that is??????
