I'm still in shock at how quickly we as a society gave it up, and how quickly law enforcement turned into Big Brother at the drop of a hat

You can read about how these evil dictators rise to power and wonder how society as a whole didn't stop it, but it's pretty easy to see just how easy it is. The second people are scared, they give themselves away to authority and are happy to turn on others

Just curious, what is the alternative? You really want to start a civil war over what is certainly temporary restrictions?

And if you believe this is all just an excuse for a permanent government takeover then my only advice is to make sure you stay off Zoom and that the tin foil on your windows isn’t expired.

and what is equally troubling is that so many people give themselves away to authority about which they know nothing. And the authorities know nothing about them.

What ever happened to the old joke, "I'm from the federal government, and I'm here to help you"? Good God, every Karen, Kevin, and Ronnie who didn't want to rock the boat or get FB shamed, ran inside and just said "OK"
