Contact tracing is easy, simple, and is a system that has been used now for decades.

Really? Then why would a smaller state like Utah need to divert 1200 state employees to conduct it?

Antibody testing is the scientific baseline study (i.e., what percentage of Utahns have already contracted COVID-19 and self-cured?)

There are no reports that Utah has spent a nickel on baseline antibody testing, but Utah is All In with 1200 employees for Contact Tracing (which is likely scientiffically futile at this point - unless you enjoy interrogating tens of thousands of people - then it is great!)

I don’t know why anyone would get upset about this.

Contact tracing is a very effective way to combat the virus as it deals with actual things, not models. And it is less intrusive to our rights.

County health departments have been doing this and they probably just need some help as the task of contact tracing hundreds of people a day could get to be a very time-consuming process.

This is part of what real quarantining should be like. You have been potentially exposed. Please stay home for the incubation period of this illness. It’s a stark contrast to the shelter in place of the entire country. And it’s a far more effective approach to dealing with the virus.
