My girl found a 4ft water snake as straight as an arrow the other day on the bank sunning itself.
I thought it was dead until the tounge flickered. She said it's a water moccasin. I grabbed a stick and caught him and threw him back in the water. Watched it swim away. She said I can't believe you grabbed that snake. I said if it was a cotton mouth I would have caught it just the same but I would have defanged it on a tree.
