It’s really more the nutrients than the money. Having the right amount of zinc, selenium, and vitamin C can make a difference between fighting off an infection or not. Sugar crashes can bring down immunity. I really don’t want to be a jerk, but it’s something to think about when doing something nice.

It's not about you being a jerk. It's about you not thinking that whole thing through with the logistics behind it.
What do you want? Them to stroll a fricking professional caterer into the hospital?
