Get a better paying job and your wife wouldn't have to work.

Are you so stupid you don't understand how disease SPREADS? Plus if you are hurting for money they are plenty of travel nursing jobs available that pay very well especially when you consider the hazard pay dif.

I agree, the flu is real, its calling it a pandemic which is the hoax, I thought we were all past that point by now.

If it was a pandemic, there would tons of guards and national guardsmen at the hospital closing all the exits. You would quarantine the whole joint and everyone in it... if you went in... you don't come out until you go through even stricter quarantine in the hospital, and decontaminated prior to leaving.

This would all take a person probably 4-7 weeks for this virus.

As many of us said when this first start
- self-isolate the old and sick... this doesn't not require orders or anything.... just info them
- you don't let them in the hospital as Italy has said... so that the hospital is not infected
- let everyone else get back to their lives

They said the hospitals would be over run.

Is it possible that the measures taken via distancing are working to prevent what was warned about if we didn't?

Oh I don't think anyone disputes that, but at the end of the day not much is going to be accomplished... meaning if there isn't a silent saturation the virus will come back. Either way, to me it doesn't seem too dangerous when they don't strictly quarantine the hospital and staff.

I mean, those medical staff apparently don't think its dangerous to the general population... as they go home to infect families and the general public if they go to the store - which they probably are.

The problem is - they are not really quarantining anyone, until they do... anyone telling me this is dangerous to the public is full of shite.

Getting your knowledge of pandemics from movies is not a good look.

I’d still like to know what % of people that test positive actually end up in the hospital

sorry. But anyone that i know in the medical field 100% states this is a huge problem we are facing and that many will die.

One of them 4 weeks ago was "this shite is so overblown its just the flu nothing to worry about" Last night his statement was "i was 100% wrong, i had no idea how contagious this shite was"

I think that your experience can be explained pretty easily with a little logic. I am no scientist but the governor of Ohio has been aggressive in slowing the spread of the virus by closing schools early and keeping folks home. I think Ohio has one of the lowest rates of cases per capita. Another factor is that there isn't anything to do in Dayton so people just stay home anyway and no one says I am taking a trip to go visit the really unique city of Dayton. Lucky for you your city is boring. Seriously though I hope that your situation stays the same and y'all stay safe up there.

All eyes on Sweden folks, they are not doing social distancing what so ever.

THIS IS THE BIGGEST HOAX EVERY. It is nothing more than the liberal media trying to destroy Trump.

Jesus, I feel like the message isn't getting through. 50,000 people in the US die every year from the FLU. This FAKE pandemic is no different. I mean come on, if 100K people die, that just means we had a bad flu season, it isn't the end of the world.

ALso, one of my best friend's wife is a PA that floats to a lot of Dayton area hospitals...guess what, her sentiment is the same, NOTHING TO SEE here folks. She works in the ER as well. I have spent time hanging out with her over the past two weekends and was told this both times.

Chicken littles, chicken littles.

Right, that is why the NCAA first 4 was going to be here a few weeks ago.

Dayton is a top 50 US city, nice try though.

It is more contagious and more deadly than the flu. You cannot say it would be just 100,000 deaths. Your post reads like someone who has no responsibility therefore no one to call you out on your message board decisions. You're a fricking armchair quarterback.

My wife is a nurse at a level 1 trauma hospital. I can confirm the census is very low because they are canceling all elective procedures in anticipation of the virus' peak.
