There is no sugarcoating this for Louisiana. Louisiana's results are abysmal.
Now, maybe our unique challenges are a factor(similar problems as New York, but perhaps quite not so concentrated), and we must conclude that Mardi Gras must have played some role, but however much I think the overall reaction to this virus, nationally, is an overreaction, I don't get paid to make that decision and Louisiana (and NY) clearly underreacted/reacted too late (same difference).
We can't say that about Washington State and California because they sort of got hit out of the blue.
