I had to work from home today and it sucked. I only had my laptop and I really needed two monitors and it was slow and it just sucked. Even with all the communication tools we have, it’s not as face to face communication.

This is why I could never work from home full time, personally.

There are certain facets of my job that walking down the hall is just soooo much fricking easier and faster than calls or emails. I could probably learn to deal without that ability.

The killer for me would be permanently linking my home with my work. I have a great home office set up (nicer than my regular office tbh) 2 27 inch monitors and a nice big desk. But then I'd have to work from actual home every single day. I'd probably rather work in an office the rest of my life vs try to go to a coffee shop or library or some shite with a laptop.

A lot of people that have been WFH have said the key is to take breaks from working at your actual home and bring your work somewhere else every so often. I have no interest in doing that. It would be torture.

I've said this in the other recent threads on this topic. I'd love to work from home 1-2 days a week. If my options were full time in the office or full time at home, I'd probably have to pick office.
