He will get abused at the NBA level on the defensive side, he has slow feet. 3's and even 4's would beat him off the dribble on a regular basis in the NBA.

Not sure why all the downvotes but this is spot on. Williams has told folks hes gone to make money, Smart should be back and Watford's side said they would only leave for 1st round money. If they hold themselves to that theres no mock out ther having him anywhere near the 1st and most undrafted.

Smart just isn’t “the man” and never will be IMO. He’s a good change of pace guy, but his basketball IQ seems low.
I want him back, but I want him to be the 4th option on the floor.

I'm not sure that all of these underclassmen except Manning go, but they all should stay. As a point of reference, Watford's brother stayed all 4 years at Indiana and he had a similar game and wasn't rated quite as high.

Yea low basketball it would be the worst assist to turnover margin.
IMO people are expecting waters out of smart but he isn’t that player.
Also everyone saying he can’t carry a team forgets he beat a great UT team by himself last year

I seriously don’t think he is. I like the kid, I just think he’s a 6th man on a great team. I feel like the offense stalls when we go through him.
Just an opinion, we’re all allowed to have a bad one every once in a while

Ehh not necessarily. He protects the ball, but he doesn’t make the right off ball movement choices and he doesn’t see a lot of open look passes.
ETA:
I want him back on the team, I’m not retarded. He might become a super star next year, who knows. Kid has talent.
Also needs to shoot better than 32% from 3

Smart is not elite, but he carried LSU in its biggest game in years last year against Tennessee without Waters and with Naz Reid only scoring 1 point. He completely took over the game with his 29 points and thanks to that win, LSU won the SEC Championship.

Smart is a very unselfish player. I wish he would actually take it to the rim more often. He is extremely hard to stop if you let him get in the paint. I feel like he plays to unselfish at times.
