Steve Carlton never threw a no-hitter at the MLB level. If you saw him throw one, it would have had to have been in the minors.

I have seen two no-hitters in the minors, both in AA. The first was in 1999 by David Manning, who eventually had a brief stint with Milwaukee a few years later.

The second one was in 2003. Chad Durbin, who went to Woodlawn-BR, had been in the majors and was rehabbing in the minors with Cleveland’s AA affiliate, Akron, threw 7 innings and another reliever finished up. Mike Fontenot, who was in the Orioles organization with Bowie at that point, was the last out. Bowie’s manager was Dave Trembley, who eventually managed the Orioles for a couple of years before Buck Showalter took over.

Read again I said I saw him throw a one hitter against the Astros
