What does Paul bring to the table?

Nolan Cain recruits.
Alan Dunn coaches pitchers.
We have an ever-changing volunteer hitting coach.
So, I guess you could say that Paul is strictly in charge of game management, which isn’t that great. I’m sure he does SOME recruiting, but he has a paid assistant position strictly devoted to something he should be doing. Therefore we don’t ever have a hitting coach because he doesn’t coach that either!
What the frick does Paul do? Would you send your son to be coached by a coach that doesn’t coach?
