Say what you will about midweek games, but this is not a sign of success.

Ole Miss nearly lost to a SWAC team. Their win is worse than our loss.

For clarity, lsu and georgia are the only 2 teams that went on the road yesterday

There are philosophical things I disagree with regarding Mainieri, but losing a midweek game by tinkering with a lineup isn’t one of them

The 2011 baseball team went 12-2 in the midweek

The 2017 team went 8-6.

Which team had the better season?

#3 Louisville lost to Wright State last night 7-1. McDonnel is a name many on here have mentioned as a wish to replace CPM.

Yes, all of our players that were highly sought after have turned to shite overnight, and our hall of fame coach is a dumbass, and our pitching has dwindled to nothing since Indiana.

It is over.

We'll never be more than mediocre as long as paul is our head coach.

Nicholls - great way to start the season and continue having in-state schools beat us all season long in midweek games.

It’s all over now. Pack in the season and roll up the turf.

Dude you realize they threw their best at LSU yesterday while LSU was using guys way down the bullpen plus moving guys all around to see what works in the lineup? I'm not a PM fan but people melting over this shite is stupid. They just won a series against Indiana which has been a good team.

Melt if they start shitting the bed in the SEC. Not concerned with pitching this year it's the hitting and base running that I'm concerned with atm. I know, common themes under PM.

A whole lot of baseball to be played. Some players are obviously rusty. Not anywhere close to panic mode yet.

I love collegiate baseball.

Our baseball know-it-all fans are denial machines when it comes to midweek games.

Let me tell you why they matter:

Because every game should matter. And the most important game is the next one.

Winning is a habit. And so is losing. And when you are okay with losing midweek games, you are okay with losing. And being okay with losing makes you okay with losing any game. It’s like a disease.

And yes, I get that “baseball is different.” I know all the reasons why. Save it.

You LSU baseball apologists have your head in the sand. We are not trending upward in baseball.
