Never have been and hopefully never will be!

But This is the rant!

It takes the best team and best season in college football history not to hear constant bitching! Amazing

Well, we've never had a really good one until last season. Now we know how good things can be.

The reasons ppl are concerned are because A. The passing game coordinator was the OC last year, B. The years Ensminger has run the offense it’s been horrible vs good competition and C. Because anyone who’s watched Linehan knows he’s not good.

There’s another question.. Orgeron has completely overhauled the offense every single season he’s been here. With Brady gone and him choosing Linehan over Munoz or Lombardi, do we know for certain that we’re going to be running the offense we ran this past season?

We went from Stone Age to the greatest offensive exhibition college football has ever witnessed. Any changes from the staff that enables that would be met with concern.

I personally think we will be fine. I don’t expect to see exactly what I saw with this past team, but it will be entertaining and we will have a chance to win every game again next year.

This board is full of morons. People on this board would have celebrated had Jorge Munoz been named passing game coordinator and he has no where near the skins on the wall Scott Linehan has.

A - I'll bet no one even knew we had a PGC until last year. 2 - The position probably never existed until recently, I know a year ago I had no idea there was a such thing. C - Before two months ago nobody ever heard of any of these guys. 4 - Let the coaches coach and players play, just be a fan.

Whatever the frick Coach O is doing at LSU it's working like a fricking boss.

If Coach O slams Monsters, Im gonna slam Monsters. If Coach O takes a crap with his pants on, Im gonna take a crap with my pants on.

If Coach O says Linehan is the best fit to replace Joe Brady, then Linehan is the best fit to replace Joe Brady.

As long as we stick with the basic spread/RPO, we’ll be fine. You put your five guys out there and let your quarterback make the decision who to get it to. Linehan can complement this with technique teaching, qb development, and playcalling within the system.

Now ... if we start hearing about and seeing “checkdowns,” and “primary and secondary receivers,” then I’ll be concerned.

I was pretty stoked when LSU hired Billy Gonzales from UF. Believing he was a disciple of Mullen and having confidence he could bring those spread concepts to LSU and develop some of our dual threat QBs to look more like what Mullen likes to have.

It was that point that i realized, without any doubt, Miles had no desire or intention to ever chance his offense.

It’s an analyst position that gets to work with players. It doesn’t bother me at all.

I genuinely think that a lot of people are nervous about next year are looking for things to blame as to why it won’t go well. kind of pathetic imo. we’re gonna be just fine.

Your title and body are asking two different things.

Billy Gonzales sucked arse here. But we were excited about the hire.

Everyone on the rant was disapointed a couple years ago when hired a 74 year old dude as PGC but he was a decent hire to get the ball rolling on to brady the next season. Brady was just unbelievable.

it's such an insignificant position, that the right hire led to the greatest offense in CFB history.

I think if Ensminger had his a system and a history of success running it, people wouldn't sweat the PGC hire. I'm taking a wait and see approach, personally. I'm pretty confident that if Linehan doesn't work out, he'll be replaced and they have all season to be putting feelers out to see who is interested.

Our last thee hires have been

2018 Jerry Sullivan
2019 Joe Brady
2020 Linehan

The last offense Linehan ran was built around the run game and as soon as he left Dal has a career year and Dallas has the #1 offense in the country (his replacement is 31)

As influential as the Saints were on our offense we still ran those concepts in a very college style way.

We never huddles, outside QB sneaks and Victory Knees we never went under center, we went uptempo all the time, we rarely subbed.
We were still very much a college offense.

The last offense Linehan hand was under center 50% of the time.m, and was very run heavy.

I dont Have stats going back to Detroit but I would imagine he ran a lot of stuff under center going back in his career.

So there is always the questions: how does it translate, what is he bringing, and is this a good fit?

O thinks so, but for every Brady he hires he also hired a Canada and a Sullivan.

How many programs have seen their program go from terrible offensively to the best passing offense in the history of college football where it coincided with a new passing game coordinator.
