I can promise you that Exxon just fed the Advocate a crock shite. I work maybe a half mile from where this happened. Our power flashed, and knocked some of our equipment off line. I have some good pics and video of it, and this was no Building fire. You honestly think Exxon is gonna say that they fricked up? Hell no. they are gonna spin this one just like the fire they had about 3 or 4 years ago.

It said “started from inside a building.”

Yeah. Just looking at Twitter you can see the reports of loud boom around 1135-1140.

Early reports are always a waste of time. Everyone involved is reacting to the event and in crisis mode, managers and people from corporate are asking questions no one knows the answer to yet, product and inventory specialist are trying to figure out what to do and by the way, there is a huge fire occurring. Usually some public spokes person that doesn’t know the difference between a cooling tower and a reactor is sent outside to speak to local television in the middle of all this. If you told the spokes person the fire originated from a fin fan, they would probably think an Ole Miss grad had something to do with it. All they can truthfully say is they are taking precautions and addressing the issue. Anyone important that knows anything is working on the problem.
