One thing we can thank Bernie for, he has split the party into two halves. When Bernie gets fricked this time his supporters will stay at home. They won’t take the fricking again.

At least Matthews had the guts to say that. None of the candidates were willing to really call out Bernie for being a socialist. Pete & Amy danced around it but were too scared to actually say the word.

He sat in for Rush a few times back in the early 1990s.

Matthews was right in his characterization of Denmark. It’s not a truly socialists country.
Bernie however, wants the type of country like Venezuela, where the state takes over private companies.

Without watching the clip, I'm shocked he actually admitted that.

He'll run as a third party candidate.

Bernie supporters will end up supporting whoever the media tells them to support after the Democrats dump Bernie again. During the last election no one was treated more unfairly than Bernie supporters and like sheep they all jumped on the Hillary train right away. They'll vote.

Chris Matthews moves up a level with this comment. That puts him at Level 1.

I love the replies. Apparently they are trying to redefine socialism as any government department or program.

I guess no one likes actual socialism of government seizing the means of production, so they have to take regular government and call it socialism

This is why I usually use "Marxism" rather than socialism to describe the thieves who are trying to destroy this country. Matthews says he doesn't like socialism, but he definitely wants the Marxists to steal from everybody but him.

On the socialism point, they asked Bernie about how he would respond to Trump talking about his socialist label and honeymoon to Moscow. Bernie’s answer was “Trump lies.”

I mean, there’s no debate about those two facts. That’s why Bernie would get killed in the general election. It’s also amazing how the rest of the field just refuses to call him out on it. They’re all way too scared of laying a glove on each other more than once....Unless it’s the Pete/South Bend angle (which they only do because it’s an opportunity to pander).
