Troll! Send us the tape.
Shirley, after listening to "Fake news" all your life, you know you can take a snippet of a conversation and prove nothing.

Two things you don't frick with on this board:

1) Frank William Wade

2) Edward James Orgeron, Jr.

I believe it is necessary to stay competitive & we should do pretty much anything it takes to win, so long as it is not a health issue.

If Wade ever gets caught on camera passing out cash and slapping a cop on the arse, we‘ll talk.

Now I am in agreement that OBJ is a cancer to the program because his actions could have cost players who could have inadvertently cost themselves issues with the NCAA.

So at least you’re consistently wrong

What Will Wade openly discussed put our entire athletic program in jeopardy. Scholarships, post season bans, players eligibility, fines, etc. Our lawyers may have gotten him off the hook but the fact that he was caught discussing these things say enough. I’m just as happy as the next guy on the board about the success of the basketball program but I’m not going to dismiss his involvement in pay for play and enshrine him with greatness.

You’re acting like he said he payed players at a press conference. He alluded to it in a phone call that was being wiretapped.

I mean we all kinda know he did it and also we all know the football team and probably baseball team does too. Hell track team probably does it as well...well nah but you get the point. Every college program pays for players in most major sports. So Wade does what he has to do to compete at a high level where as OBJ was making an arse of himself on television just so he could have some attention, all the while jeopardizing the program with his antics. So no not the same...dumb arse

There are only 2 major sports, fb and men's bb. Those are the only sports where cheating is rampant. You may have an occasional baseball player getting minor illegal benefits at the handful of schools that care about the diamond, but that's it.

There is no proof Wade did anything wrong. In response to allegations, Smarts mother denied any of the allegations were true and threatened to sue. The NCAA interviewed her and some others and cleared Smart to play.
The NCAA will probably come investigate LSU unfortunately.
The consensus is that all schools give some players illegal benefits, some schools more than others. If you are a fan of college football or basketball you are a fan of programs that break the rules.
That unfortunate state of affairs though can not be compared to a drunk passing out wads of cash in public. It’s not hypocritical to distinguish between the two, although both are wrong.
Cheating on your taxes is wrong and illegal. Embezzling from your company is wrong and illegal. It’s not hypocritical for people to be scandalized if they hear you were arrested for embezzlement and not so scandalized if they hear the IRS has audited your taxes and it looks like you are in trouble.

So what did he openly discuss?
Who proved his wrongdoing?
What court convicted him?
C'mon troll.

Name a successful program that doesn't pay players. Don't be naive.
