Is that good or bad? I dont need to always over pay for items. No reason to have $25 socks.

Requirements for my AR's (and generally all of my firearms):
1. Throws lead down range.
2. Reasonably accurate.
3. Reliable.
You don't need to spend a bazillion dollars to get that. You really don't need to spend over $1,000 to get that.
AR hobbying is like any other. You can spend all you want, but once you get past the core requirements, everything else is just showing-off.
