Yep. I actually preferred Kobe when they were playing even though Shaq was an LSU guy. I felt like Shaq threw shade when he didn’t have to. But once he retired you could tell the respect and ultimately love he grew to share with a guy he went through the battles with and realized neither was ever as good apart as they were together.
I don’t know if it’s because we’re about the same age so I watched him from Day 1 but man this is really hitting me.
