@RVargasAdvocate
Officer at center of Odell Beckham Jr. butt-slap case says he resisted urge to punch player, decided against on the spot-arrest due to 'jovial' atmosphere of the locker room.

quote:

The NOPD officer leading the investigation into the case initially applied for a warrant to arrest Beckham on a count of misdemeanor sexual battery, which Louisiana law defines as the intentional touching of the breasts or buttocks of a victim who did not consent.

But Magistrate Court Commissioner Melvin Zeno rejected the application, determining “that the elements of the crime did not rise to that of sexual battery but rather that of a simple battery.”

Your first thread got anchored, so you decided to try again? You, and the dude that is making a big deal about this, are still both bitches.

fricking classic cop napoleonic complex. Empowered by all the “back the blue” worship. You’re public servants. Get over yourself

He's gonna show up with a neck brace and Gloria Allred as his attorney by tomorrow.

Sure OBJ should’ve kept his hands to himself, but that officer sounds like a pussy

Odell and the officer should have been slapping arse outside the locker room. Shame on both of them for starting the media circus after we won the championship. Its a fricking joke.

Odell is completely in the wrong in this entire situation. Should he have slapped the security guard on the arse? No. But a fricking battery charge from this? Get real. Not to mention this security guard would have gotten his arse whooped had he tried anything. The cigar incident, who cares about a damn smoking law, that’s a bitch move by the security guard too. Odell and the security guard are both dumbasses here.

Wow, he sounds like an absolute a-hole.

Resisted urge to punch? Over that?

And if he understood jovial atmosphere then why cry about it later??? If it bothered you enough to press charges then don’t wait.

He's embarrassed. Plain and simple. He got punked in the public eye and thinks that pushing the issue on this is somehow his revenge.

If that's the case why didn't the warrant come out Tuesday and not today?

He's setting it up for a lawsuit, very obviously.

The officer and Odell are both idiots, but Odell's name is out there so his reputation suffers. What's the officer's name, so he can reap the same response for his poor judgment?

there is no way that cop is smart enough or quick enough to think that way. PR clearly came up with "jovial".
