Although I agree with the statement, I don't understand why anyone compares what players do in their professional careers to their college team's greatness.

They have nothing to do with each other.

If every player from this team turned out to be an NFL bust it would still have no effect on the dominance and accolades of this season.

It's best college team ever, not most successful pro-career group.

I was not comparing their pro career to college, I was just saying go look at the names. Winslow was backing up Shockey. Magahee, Gore, and Portis, wilfork, Vilma, Ed Reed, etc. A lot of talent that went on to excel in the pros

YES. Thank you - so tired of hearing about Miami. There isn't a college PRO bowl. Those were college players on a college team and our team on Monday completed their stamp as the greatest team in college, ever.
How about this argument: would those soon-to-be-great players have been able to compete with this offense? They'd never seen the spread before, and we can stop the run. Miami would have lost - it's out of context, and not a great comparison. The best team would have been LSU.
