Do you have one go-to rig or a couple? I shoot docks at Lake of the Ozarks so I have two. For fishing vertically in/around the wells I use a G Loomis 4'6" GL2 with a Shimano Spirex 1000 FG.

For shooting the floats from the outside I have a Pfluger Trion 6'6" combo.

I spider rig, so my reels just basically have to hold line. I can’t remember the last time I made a cast.

I like 12-footers.

Have several, but my current favorite is the Bass Pro panfish elite 6' 6" with a Diawa Legalis 1000. The Falcon HD series is great as well.

What kind of rods are you using? I have several friends that use Ozark Pro Series to spider rig with.

I prefer a 14’ rod for spider rigging. I currently use Southern Crappie brand rods, but just bought a few B&M Capps and Coleman series 14’ rods to try out. I use Lew’s Lazer lite spinning reels. The longer the rod, the longer the land net you’re probably gonna want. Mine extends out to 12’, I think.

I use to use that same setup. Found out hoop nets work better.

Nice. I have considered getting a spider rig set up for fishing the winter pattern at a couple different lakes (Truman Reservoir and Mark Twain). I just can't pull the trigger because of the amount of time I spend on LOZ.

Until that LDWF enforcement agent slips up on you taking those White Perch out of the hoop net. Then it's bye bye hoop nets and boat more than likely.
