I see these PSA's about being repectful about this issue.

Are you or do you know anyone that suffers from anxiety or any other reaction (other than pets) to fireworks fired during a decent hour or at midnight NYE?

No, this is some made up bullshite used by liberals to act like they are empathetic to veterans. Veterans aren't this damaged and fragile.

My grandfather was. He was taken prisoner in Vietnam. He was alright most of the time, but fireworks really weren't cool for him. He'd take a Xanax and try to sleep through it if anyone started shooting them in his neighborhood.

My grandad was ok with them as long as he saw them coming. Catch him off guard and he would get pissed.

I’m a vet and the only thing I don’t like about fireworks is it makes my wife & kids dogs go apeshit.

One of my daughter's boyfriends served in Iraq- he had issue with fireworks. You could tell it made him very uncomfortable, but he was very open about the issue...

Yes I do. It’s really depressing to watch him sit with his hands over his ears when fireworks start. I thank every veteran and enlisted person for their service so people like us can have the freedom to shoot fireworks in this great country. But yes it is a real thing

They make me feel weird and uncomfortable. I don’t feel the need to remind everyone around me that I’m a veteran with service related issues, though.

But again, that’s just me. I prefer to just drink and focus on something else. Like my wife’s tits.

Everyone’s experience is different.

No. Only POGs make those claims to feel relevant.

Used to work with a guy who was.

No one knew anything about it until someone threw one behind him after New Years as a joke. He lost it. Had to go home for the day.

It was a devastating thing to witness honestly. No man deserves to be so broken that something like that triggers that kind of response.

My wife's grandfather landed on Iwo Jima in WWII, he would hide under the kitchen table during thunderstorms

I have a dear friend who was a grunt in the worst places during the gulf war. He doesn’t enjoy these days

No. My father and all of my uncles were WW2 veteran with varying degrees of combat experience. Fireworks never bothered them.
